LightHouse of Prayer Statement of Faith:
-We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant and authoritative Word of God.
-We believe the one true God exists eternally in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in deity, power and glory.
-We believe that mankind was created in the image of God for the purpose of fellowship, but willfully rejected His authority causing death and judgment to enter the world.
-We believe that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God pre-existant from eternity, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, died, and was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He is fully God, and fully man.
-We believe that salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
-We believe that the Holy Spirit has been poured out to indwell believers, sanctifying us and progressively conforming us to the image of Christ. We also believe that all of the signs, wonders, and gifts of the Spirit are operative today to testify of Christ and empower and edify the Church.
-We believe the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. We affirm the priesthood of all believers. We believe that both male and female, young and old, all races and classes are called and gifted to proclaim the gospel and do all of the works of the kingdom.
-We believe God has called the Church to prayer and worship, exemplified by David's tabernacle, in response to the greatest commandment, to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls and minds, out of which He will empower us by His Spirit to live out the second, to love our neighbors as ourselves.
-We believe that Israel is God's chosen people and serves as a channel of His blessing to the entire world. God's election of Israel to this unique relationship is irrevocable. We believe that Israel is central to God's plan, past, present and future, and that the Church is called to pray for the restoration of Israel through receiving the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and for the literal fulfillment of all the prophecies and promises given them by God.
-We believe that God has instituted marriage, between one man and one woman, to reflect the mystery of the union between Jesus Christ and His Church.
-We believe in the literal return of Christ to personally reign over the nations for one thousand years. We believe the Church will go through the Great Tribulation and will only be raptured at the end to join Him in His government.
-We believe in the resurrection of every person, to eternal life for the believer and eternal judgment for the lost.
